You may follow the five steps process for coverage of insecure events:

-	If you are a reporter who is not filming or taking pictures you do not need to be in the crowd, as long as you have a clear line of sight and can catch the sounds.
-	You can do interviews with participants before and afterwards the protest, but at the time you just need an overview of what is happening.
-	In case of bombing, stay away from the crowds in view of more explosions
